Talk about easy to work with! Kenny and his team are wonderful, thoughtful and took the time explaining the differences in resorts, where the best bang for the buck was and why some of the DVC “perks” aren’t worth it compared to what we saved buying on the resale market! If you have a Disney Visa card, there’s your 10% food / merch discounts, so why spend thousands more to buy direct! All the money we saved buying resale we couldn’t be happier!

These guys are the real deal! Super knowledgeable about DVC! Showed us how to maximize our points for DVC resorts, how to rent them out for certain “restrictions” like Disney Cruises & certain Disney hotels we wanted to travel to that DVC puts on us resale owners and still come out ahead!! The whole team at Magical Vacation Pros are just wonderful! We loved the throwback of the old DVC slogan which is what caught our eye with these guys and then upon speaking with them, they explained how it all works, restrictions, perks, how to maximize our membership and still enjoy most of the perks with minimal hiccups. Frankly, I can’t see why anyone would buy direct just to use points on cruises and get a few small discounts knowing what we know now! Highly recommend!

Living in CA, when we searched for DVC resales, most of the companies popped up from Florida and didn’t have much insight into CA / Aulani, so when we found Kenny and team out here, they understood what we wanted and delivered! We bought into Aulani about 10 years ago with hopes of being able to use in CA as long as wasn’t last minute, well that’s happened MAYBE twice. So we were thinking of selling and researched DVC resales and that’s when MVP popped up on the West Coast! Being former CA guides, they understood the frustrations and helped us sell our Aulani contract FAST and we used the profit to buy into the CA resort at VDH! Now we own where we want and the process was smooth and friendly.. great team and great results!
One of the coolest things about this team is their Buy program! If I wanted to list, they would do for a great low commission OR I could just sell to them as long as my dues were up to date, paid and not all the points “stripped” out. We worked out an offer, they submitted ROFR and they bought from me and before we closed I added on Villas at Disneyland Hotel for member add on discount and couldn’t be happier! Took my profit and put down on my loan and done! Very smooth and trustworthy!

Kenny was one of the top guys in Anaheim DVC and we were sad when he heard he left, but we’ve kept in contact and once he opened a resale branch, we were happy to add on. He and his team are solid professionals and give you all the info to make the right decision. We even referred someone and he said told them resale wasn’t the right fit for them based on their needs, so they aren’t just in it for the “sale” , but really care about helping people out!
We first met Kenny in 2019. We did a DVC tour while in Disneyland to get free fast passes (ahhh memories). At that time, we had never stayed at a Disney property, been on a Disney Cruise, or been to Disney World. Shortly after getting home, we found a resale contract at our preferred home resort of The Grand Californian. We went through the purchase process and closed on it. In 2020, we bought 2 more resale timeshares at Aulani. In 2021 another Aulani. The FINALLY in 2023, we purchased our 1st Disney direct contract from Kenny Smith. Two actually, at the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Working with Kenny was so easy, and he made sure the process went smoothly. Owning DVC has completely changed how we travel and how often we travel. We stay in 1 bedroom villas, on Disney property with full kitchens, washer and dryer. Plenty of room. I am so happy to learn that Kenny has started this new venture into resale DVC. And I can’t wait to buy our next contract from him.
Magical Vacation Pros sold my Poly listing in record time! Communication was fast, open and honest and I can’t recommend Kenny and his team enough! Plus the 5% commission flat rate didn’t hurt either as I was worried if would get the same level of service, but they went far and above what they charge! Recommend with no hesitation!
The Buying Process
Once you land on a contract you’d like to purchase, we will present your offer and negotiate thru it. Once it’s set up, documents get emailed to both buyer and seller to execute. At that time, we will send to escrow to open officially and you will put down a 10% deposit of the purchase price as “good faith” while they submit thru the process of Right of First refusal with DVC. Once ROFR, as we call it, has passed, then closing documents get sent to both buyer / seller and the balance of the purchase is wired in via the buyer or lender, if financing.
An offer consists of:
- Offer on purchase price of contract
- Negotiation of who is paying closing costs (traditionally buyer pays closing costs due to sellers paying sales commission)
- Negotiation of who is paying current year’s dues (if points from current year, buyer typically pays. If no points, then we can negotiate it out possibly)
The whole process takes approx. 60-90 days for a contract to close from start to finish. This is typically because after we receive the signed agreement by both buyer / seller, it goes to Disney Vacation Club for Right of First Refusal or ROFR. DVC has up to 30 days to review the contract and decide whether to buy back or not. Once approved, DVC sends an estoppel to the title company waiving their rights and escrow draws up closing documents. After the final documents have been executed and returned (along with the payment from the Buyer or lender), the contract closes and DVC is notified. Once it’s closed, DVC will set your member account and either mail or email you your new Member ID number and log in info. Once that’s done, you’re ready to start making the magic!
Please note: Disney Vacation Club points purchased through resale can be used for accommodations at the 14 DVC resorts, as well as for Interval International exchanges. DVC Points purchased through resale, on or after March 21, 2011, cannot be used to make reservations on Disney Cruise line or the Disney Collection (Regular Disney Hotels). Most members prefer to not use their points on these collections anyways, as the points are outrageous and present very little value, so there are other routes we can advise on how to enjoy these amenities from Disney using your points.
In addition, as of April 4, 2016, you will not have access to other Disney Vacation Club incidental benefits (also known as Membership Extras) such as Member discounts on dining, shopping, Member-exclusive events, and certain special Member offers. These can easily be offset, however, if you have a Disney Chase Visa and will get you the same or similar discounts on dining and shopping.
